Your residency and visa are validated as soon as you become the owner of your new property and your application was successfully submitted - your freedom to move freely in the Schengen area starts now! Usually, this process will take up to 4-5 months.
Your minimum days required to stay in Portugal in the first year is only 7 days & 14 days thereafter.
